Snow Day

We were blessed with a pretty good snow yesterday. It usually doesn’t snow here and when it does, it may just cover the ground. It was really nice to be able to have snow ball fights and build snowmen. The kids, big and little, loved playing outside.

Pride

Continuing on with theme from Monday, there was an episode of “Expedition Africa” where the group traveled through this one plain in the dark of night. I was so scared for this group of people, I was on the edge on my couch. They walked along by the grassy areas and I just knew that at any minute a lion was going to pounce down on one of them and have a nice evening meal.

Expedition Africa

Over the summer, there was a show on The History Channel that documented a group of people trekking across Africa to recreate the journey that Henry Stanley took in 1871 to find Dr. Livingstone. I Can’t Drive 55

The last real hit that I can remember from Sammy Hagar before he joined the band Van Halen was “I can’t drive 55″. It was a little to pop for me, but a catchy tune nonetheless. Crickets and Cricuts

We are a pet family. We currently have three dogs and two rose hair tarantulas. The dogs are nice. They love on you and play together and bring much joy into the house. When we want to take a quick trip away for the weekend or go to Florida for a couple of weeks over the summer, we have to worry about them. We have to have some one come over to the house and stay with them, make sure they have food and water. They have to let them outside so they can run around and do other important things. It gets to be a bit of a mess.

Start or Finish

God uses the visual of a race in the Bible over and over again. Paul speaks of  running the race, persevering in the race and finishing the race. He never seems to talks about starting a race. At the beginning of a marathon, there is a crowd of people all looking feverishly for their loved one in the mass of people about to embark on a mighty quest.
